Brown: Trump’s Disgraceful Budget is Dead On Arrival

Trump has requested $1.5 trillion in funding for the military – a 42% increase – along with $73 billion in cuts to funding for domestic programs. Trump’s Budget calls for significant funding cuts to the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor, and the Department of Agriculture. The Trump Administration’s Budget Proposal eliminates the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Job Corps, the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund, Community Services Block Grants, the EPA’s Environmental Justice Program, the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and more.
