Cassidy Announces $34.6 Million for Louisiana Hurricane Recovery and Emergency Preparedness
WASHINGTON– U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive a combined $34,568,131.81 from the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support recovery and emergency preparedness following Hurricanes Laura, Ida, and Francine. The funding will reimburse local governments, utilities, and state agencies for permanent repairs, emergency measures, and management costs.
“After a storm hits, families need their hospitals, schools, and power restored quickly,”said Dr. Cassidy.“This funding gets Louisiana back on its feet and ready for the next storm.”
