Alford Votes to Support Trump, Keep America Open for Business
Today, Congressman Mark Alford (MO-04), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 1968, the Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025 to fund the federal government through September 30, 2025. Watch Rep. Alford’s remarks on the House floor in support of H.R. 1968 here or by clicking the image above. “I was proud to support President Trump by voting for this continuing resolution to keep America open for business,” said Congressman Alford. “While I am not usually a fan of C.R.s, this one is critical to give President Trump the time and space to enact our shared America first agenda. This legislation provides junior enlisted service members with their largest pay raise in forty years, while freezing other spending at current levels. At the same time, it enhances the Trump Administration’s ability to secure our borders and empowers DOGE to continue identifying and eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse. House Republicans are working in lockstep with President Trump to save America.” ###
