Wyden Announces March 14 Town Hall in Washington County

Portland - U.S. Senator Ron Wyden today announced he will hold an open-to-all town hall on Saturday, March 14 in Washington County.
Heading into this 1 pm town hall on March 14 at the Century High School gym (2000 SE Century Blvd, Hillsboro), Wyden has held1,151 open-to-all town hallsstatewide in fulfillment of his promise to hold at least one town hall each year in each of Oregon’s 36 counties. This Washington County town hall will be his 12thso far in 2026.
“I’ve kept this town hall promise because it’s always been essential that the faces and voices of democracy have public spaces to show up, speak out and share their ideas,”Wyden said.“I very much look forward to shortening the distance between Washington, DC and Washington County by holding this town hall in Hillsboro to hear directly from Oregonians.”
For everyone’s security, backpacks and large bags will not be allowed in the town hall. Similar to major sporting events, there is aclear bag policyfor town halls, allowing only clear bags (max 12″x 6″x12″), one-gallon clear plastic bags, or small clutches (max 4.5″x 6.5″), plus essential items like medical bags or infant necessities, with no storage for disallowed bags. Backpacks and non-clear bags are prohibited, though medical/infant needs have exceptions. Doors will open one hour before the town hall start time for attendees.
