Celebrating Ohio’s small businesses

Dear friends and neighbors, Ohio’s 1.1 million small businesses employ more than 2.2 million people and are the backbone of our economy. As one of Ohio’s U.S. Senators, a top priority of mine is ensuring our small businesses have what they need to continue thriving. View my remarks here . This week marks National Small Business Week, and I have been traveling Ohio, talking to workers and small business owners about what is important to them, including a roundtable in Upper Sandusky . One message came through clear: when small businesses succeed, Ohio succeeds. I shared with these leaders that I’m working in the Senate to cut taxes and give small businesses the freedom to grow, hire, and compete. Cutting taxes for small businesses I voted for the Working Families Tax Cuts Act because it delivers real results for Ohio’s small businesses: ✅ Permanent 20% small businesses tax deduction ✅ 1.2 million new jobs this year ✅$7,000 tax cut to 12 million small business owners ✅Permanent full expensing for new investments and domestic research and development ✅ Cuts taxes on tips and overtime, saving tipped and overtime workers up to $1,750 per year Supporting policies that empower small businesses In the Senate, I’m working to expand access to capital, reduce regulatory burdens, and ensure small businesses can compete in today’s economy: Made in America Manufacturing Financing Act : This bill would expand access to growth capital for small U.S.-based manufacturers. Investing in All of America Act: This bill would expand access to capital for small businesses in rural and low-income communities, as well as those in the manufacturing and critical technology sectors. The Investing in All of America Act has passed the House and Senate and the President will sign it into law. AI for Mainstreet Act: This bill would provide training, guidance and support to American small businesses looking to implement AI into their businesses. Repealing Big Brother Overreach Act: This bill would eliminate the requirement for small businesses to report beneficial ownership information to the Treasury Department, which is burdensome and overreaching. National Small Business Week is an important opportunity to recognize the contributions small businesses make to our economy and communities. I encourage all Ohioans to get out and support local businesses—not just this week, but year-round. We’re here to help Customer service is my top priority.
