Carter statement on House Republicans voting to fund the government

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) today released the following statement after House Republicans advanced a continuing resolution to fund the government through September 30, 2025: “House Republicans are standing with veterans, children, and our community members by following through on our constitutional duty to keep the government open, ensuring that President Trump can continue enacting his historic mandate. It is now up to Chuck Schumer to decide whether Senate Democrats will stand with the American people or follow in their House colleagues’ footsteps by voting against key programs that uplift our friends and neighbors just to spite President Trump.” “Despite House Democrats’ attempt to disrupt the overwhelming will of the American people, House Republicans remain committed to fulfilling the mandate that we were given when we were sent back to Washington. It’s time for Senate Democrats to do the right thing and pass the Continuing Resolution.” ###
