PressView on kim.senate.gov

Washington, D.C. –Today, Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) announced he secured $97.5 million in federal funding for projects across New Jersey. This funding comes after months of meetings with New Jersey leaders on the ground, discussing local project needs to help residents and their communities. These conversations resulted in federal funding going to 98 New Jersey projects that’ll upgrade New Jersey’s infrastructure, support our elders, help families in need, and more.
“New Jersey has seen our taxpayer dollars held hostage by this Administration, it’s important to me that we return some of it home to actually help our working families,”said Senator Andy Kim.“This funding comes from a process of collaboration – we hear about the needs of community and work with our partners to help deliver the resources they need to make life better. I’m proud to work with my colleagues to bring these dollars home and will continue to fight to bring more back for New Jersey in years to come.”
Funded projects will help seniors age gracefully, improve students’ literacy, deliver support to New Jersey’s most vulnerable, and upgrade the state’s transportation and infrastructure network.
