Gallego Calls On USPS Leadership to Testify Before Congress In Response to Whistleblower Mail In Voting Report

WASHINGTON – Today, Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) released the following statement in response to reporting of an anonymous whistleblower complaint from the United States Postal Service (USPS): “A whistleblower just confirmed Trump’s mail-ballot verification system is broken enough to lose or reject people’s ballots ahead of the midterms. I am calling for an immediate stop to this rollout, and I am demanding that USPS leadership come before Congress to testify under oath. The American people deserve answers before a single ballot is put at risk.” Last week, Senator Gallego spoke out against President Trump’s mail-in-voting executive order on MS NOW. In April, Gallego introduced the Absentee and Mail Voter Protection Act to block President Trump’s illegal and unconstitutional executive order attacking mail and absentee ballots and protect the right to vote by mail.
