PHOTO RELEASE: Congresswoman Lee Delivers Remarks at 2026 National Clean Energy Week
October 14, 2026 Press Release Image WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) delivered remarks during the 10th annual National Clean Energy Week’s Policymakers Symposium. She discussed the importance of fully harnessing our domestic geothermal resources, especially as the United States continues to face both increasing energy demands both at home and abroad. As southern Nevada’s sole representative on the House Natural Resources Committee, Congresswoman Lee is doing everything possible to build the clean energy economy. She passed her Geothermal Energy Advancement Act , a bipartisan, six-bill geothermal permitting reform package, the most significant geothermal legislation in more than half a century. The package includes Lee’s bipartisan, bicameral Streamlining Thermal Energy through Advanced Mechanisms (STEAM) Act to expedite geothermal exploration and development, and her Geothermal Energy Opportunity (GEO) Act, which would reform — and speed up — the federal permitting process for geothermal projects. ### Issues : Energy & Public Lands
