Senate Adopts Resolution Designating October 4-10 National 4-H Week WASHINGTON?–?U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Ranking Member Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Chairman John Boozman (R-AR), co-chairs of the Senate 4-H Caucus, are celebrating National 4-H Week by leading a resolution recognizing the importance of the program on youth development. The Senate passed the resolution designating October 4-10, 2026 as National 4-H Week. “Minnesota 4-H is preparing over 50,000 young Minnesotans to lead in their communities,” said Klobuchar. “I’m glad to partner with Senator Boozman to recognize the work of 4-H by celebrating this week as National 4-H Week. As co-chair of the 4-H Caucus, I’ll continue working with my colleagues to support exciting opportunities for youth engaged in agriculture.” “4-H has made a lasting impact on countless Arkansans, including my three daughters, who benefited from their participation in this program. I’m proud to support 4-H as it continues developing future generations of leaders and equips young people with the skills and values they need to succeed,” Boozman said. 4-H is a youth development program of the Cooperative Extension System of land-grant universities, and it is the largest youth development organization in the country. It provides experiences for nearly six million young people through hands-on projects in health, science, agriculture and civic engagement annually including 50,000 in Minnesota and 130,000 in Arkansas. ###
