Congressman Conaway Statement on the Election Results
November 4, 2026 Press Release Washington D.C. — Today, Congressman Herb Conaway Jr., MD released the following statement on last night’s election results: “I am absolutely honored, humbled, and deeply appreciative of the confidence and support of the people of New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District. They have entrusted me with an incredible privilege and an enormous responsibility, one that I am proud to have worked so hard to earn: the opportunity to continue serving our home in Central and South Jersey and fighting for our shared values in Washington, D.C. “Last night, the American people spoke, and their message was clear: enough is enough. “The results of this election have made clear that the American people expect their elected representatives to deliver. We have a responsibility to meet that expectation: a responsibility to lower costs for working families, ensure that everyone has access to quality, affordable health care, and hold this Administration accountable for its actions. “I will work every single day in the next Congress to make sure the will of the people is heard and their priorities are met. I will never forget the responsibility that my constituents have placed in my hands. The work ahead will not be easy, and there will undoubtedly be challenges along the way. But we will not back down, we will not give up, and we will never stop fighting for the people we represent. “Last night was a victory, but tomorrow the work begins. And I am ready to get to work.” ###
