Senator Justice Commemorates 25th Anniversary of September 11

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Senator Jim Justice released the following statement marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001: “It’s hard to believe twenty-five years have passed since that terrible day that changed our lives forever. Every year when this day comes around, my heart breaks all over again for the families who lost someone they loved—mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, and friends whose chairs at the dinner table have stayed empty far too long. But even in our darkest hour, America showed the world what we’re made of. We saw everyday folks step up in ways that bring tears to your eyes, and first responders run straight into harm’s way without giving it a second thought. That’s who we are. A quarter-century has passed, but our promise remains the same: we will never forget the lives taken from us, and we will never forget the quiet strength and goodness that brought us through.
