NEWS: Sens. Ossoff & Rev. Warnock, Rep. Williams Upgrading Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Through Bipartisan Infrastructure Law May 28, 2026 Atlanta, Ga. — U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock, alongside Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05), are delivering new resources to upgrade Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport through the bipartisan infrastructure law. Today, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock and Rep. Williams announced they are delivering $28 million in Federal funding through the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Terminal Program (ATP), authorized by the bipartisan infrastructure law, to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Federal funding will support the replacement of the centralized air system in Concourses B and E. “Georgia’s airports are a key driver of job creation and economic competitiveness. That’s why we are pleased to deliver this funding through the bipartisan infrastructure law for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Our bipartisan infrastructure law will continue to deliver long-overdue upgrades to Georgia’s infrastructure for years to come,” Sen. Ossoff said. “When we invest in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, we are investing in an economic driver and gateway to the world for all of Georgia. I’m proud to be able to work together with Senator Ossoff to secure this funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law as it continues to support Georgia jobs  and make travel safer, easier and more efficient for Georgians and visitors to our state,” said Senator Warnock. Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) said: “Georgia’s Fighting Fifth Congressional District is proud to be home to the world’s busiest and most efficient airport, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This $28 million federal investment through the bipartisan infrastructure law will help ensure Atlanta remains a global hub for travel, commerce, and economic opportunity. These upgrades will strengthen the passenger experience, support jobs, and keep our city connected to the world for generations to come.” Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock continue delivering resources to upgrade Georgia’s airports and strengthen economic growth. In October 2024, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock delivered over $19 million in funding to Georgia airports through the bipartisan infrastructure law, including over $14 million to expand public restrooms in the concourses at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. In May 2024, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock delivered over $120 million in Federal grant funding through the bipartisan infrastructure law for airport infrastructure upgrades, including over $88 million for Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. In 2022, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock and Rep. Williams delivered $40 million through the bipartisan infrastructure law to revamp and upgrade Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s Concourse D, upgrading passenger experience, improving airport efficiency, and creating more than 500 construction jobs. # # # Prev Previous NEWS: Sens.
