Crow Hosts Election Security Roundtable with Colorado Leaders
October 9, 2026 Press Release AURORA — Congressman Jason Crow (D-CO), a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, hosted an election security roundtable alongside local officials from Denver County and Arapahoe County. Crow’s roundtable was an opportunity for elections officials, law enforcement, and other leaders to coordinate and discuss efforts to keep Colorado’s election system strong. Joining Crow’s roundtable were Denver District Attorney John Walsh, Arapahoe County District Attorney Amy Padden; Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder Joan Lopez; Arapahoe County Sheriff Tyler Brown; and Ben Hess from the Committee for Safe and Secure Election. Image At the roundtable, Colorado leaders discussed ensuring Coloradans have the right information to help them vote early; security protocols that keep ballot drop-off boxes secure; and exercises used by law enforcement officers and local officials to help them prepare for any potential incidents before, during, and after Election Day. Image “Colorado’s elections are the gold standard. Our same-day registration, open primaries, and mail-in-ballot program not only encourage one of the highest voter turnout rates in the nation but are also extremely safe and secure,” said Congressman Crow . “I assembled this roundtable to ensure that our leaders are working together to protect our elections at every turn. Every qualified Coloradan must have the chance to make their voice heard without fear or intimidation.” Image Congressman Crow has long fought to ensure that all Coloradans are able to make their voices heard at the ballot box. He voted against Congressional Republicans’ voter suppression bills, while working to ensure our elections are secure from bad actors through his leadership on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Crow is also leading the fight to root out corruption in our elections, including through his End Dark Money Act and SHINE Act to crack down on dark money’s influence on U.S. elections. ###
