Fischer Statement on Second Anniversary of October 7 Attack
U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement on the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel:
“As we mark two years since Hamas’ cold-blooded attack on Israel, we honor the memory of those brutally murdered on October 7, 2023, including the hostages killed by this terrorist group. We continue to pray for the safe return of all those still in captivity. I stand firmly with Israel against Hamas’ heinous disregard for human life. Lasting peace demands the return of every hostage, the end of this devastating war, and the complete defeat of Hamas.”
Today, Fischer also cosponsored a resolution condemning the October 7th attack and supporting the outcome that ensures the survival of Israel, the complete denial of Hamas’ ability to reconstitute in the region, and the release of all remaining hostages from the Gaza Strip—including two United States citizens.
