Rick Scott, Ashley Moody Remember 10th Anniversary of Pulse Nightclub Shooting June 12, 2026 NAPLES, Fla. – Today, U.S. Senators Rick Scott and Ashley Moody introduced a resolution marking the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attack on Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida. The attack was the deadliest act of terror on American soil since the September 11, 2001, terror attacks. In 2021, Senator Scott and Senator Marco Rubio led the passage of legislation establishing the National Pulse Memorial as a tribute to honor the victims and serve as a reminder that terror has no place in America. Senator Scott said, “After the despicable, evil act of terrorism at Pulse, Floridians came together to support one another and reject hate. An attack meant to instill fear and tear apart communities only made Floridians stronger. I will never forget the days, weeks, and months following the Pulse Nightclub attack as friends and family mourned loved ones that they still miss today. However, Floridians stand firm in the wake of evil and reject attempts to make them afraid in their own communities. I had the solemn honor to lead legislation to create the ‘National Pulse Memorial’ at the site of the nightclub, and I continue honoring the memory of those lost ten years ago.” Senator Moody said, “On the 10 th anniversary of this sad day, we remember and honor the 49 innocent victims killed in the targeted terrorist attack at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub.
