Smith Served as Schmitt’s Chief of Staff in the Missouri Attorney General’s Office U.S. SENATE — Today, U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) released the following statement after President Trump’s nominee for the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, Justin Smith, passed out of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Justin Smith formerly served as Schmit’s Chief of Staff and First Assistant in the Missouri Attorney General’s office.
