Her name was Breonna Taylor. While we will never forget how Breonna Taylor died, we get to choose to remember how she lived. Breonna was a sister, a daughter, a girlfriend. Breonna was a caregiver, working at UofL’s emergency room to save lives. Breonna was a 26-years-old with her whole life ahead of her. She had dreams, including becoming a mom someday. Breonna loved her family, her community – and more than anything, she loved life. In the face of injustice, we cannot be silent. We must speak up. We must say her name. Breonna Taylor.
