Welch Celebrates Vermonter Spencer Wood and Team USA Paralympian Athletes Ahead of 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games

BURLINGTON, VT–U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-Vt.)today celebrated Vermonter Spencer Wood and all Team USA athletes competing in the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games, which begin tomorrow, Friday, March 6 in Italy. Mr. Wood, of Pittsfield, VT will compete as a member of the Team USA Para Alpine Ski Team.
“Vermont is so proud of our incredible paralympic athletes on Team USA, and I look forward to cheering on Spencer and all of our athletes as they compete in Italy. The men and women representing America at the Paralympics have inspired us through their determination, grit and hard work. Vermonters in Pittsfield and across the state wish Spencer and all of our athletes the very best as they compete,”said Senator Welch.
