The American people know what they saw in Minneapolis. ICE and DHS are terrorizing communities, ripping apart families, and killing Americans. We must rewrite the DHS bill to address these well-documented abuses. Anything less is a non-starter.

Sen. Ossoff: "Much of the American public are quite reasonably alarmed and asking questions after the Director of National Intelligence was spotted bizarrely and personally lurking in an FBI evidence truck in Fulton County, Georgia yesterday."

I just voted NO on Republicans’ budget that pours billions more into ICE and DHS. We must not fund cruelty.

I just voted NO to funding DHS. With ICE and CBP sowing chaos and fear in our communities—shooting Americans in broad daylight—it's past time to put an end to their lawlessness.

NEWS: Senate Republicans just voted to advance a partisan cryptocurrency bill without meaningful protections and transparency for consumers.

This morning, I voted no on the bill that included funding for the Department of Homeland Security. The White House needs to hear the American people, and rein in ICE, end the violence and stop the attack on our fundamental freedoms.

Today, I voted NO to the funding package for DHS. This may have been my vote, but this was the people's voice. We need real changes to fix a broken and lawless system. I'll be working closely with my colleagues to deliver it.

Here are the indisputable facts: The 2020 elections were accurate and secure. Donald Trump lost. He is trying to attack free elections because he is getting desperate. He knows the people have turned against his failed agenda. But we see what he is doing. Stay vigilant.

Just hours after Alex Pretti was shot 10 times by federal agents, the Trump Administration – without knowing the facts – said that he was a “domestic terrorist.” Wisconsinites who knew Alex know that’s simply not true. www.wpr.org/news/green-b...

Just voted NO on the DHS funding bill. It does nothing to overhaul ICE. We need masks off, bodycams on, accountability, and respect for our constitutional rights.

Secretary Noem fundamentally doesn't understand her role as a Cabinet Secretary. She needs to resign, be fired, or, if that doesn't happen, she should be impeached.

Democrats are ready to avoid a shutdown, but the DHS bill needs serious work. I’m glad that the White House is working with Leader Schumer to avoid a partial government shutdown and rein in ICE’s campaign of terror. Americans are demanding change to ICE’s conduct—we must deliver for them.
- GP
I voted no on the funding bill today because we need serious reforms to require DHS immigration enforcement operations to be conducted safely and responsibly. I urge our Republican colleagues to let us vote to fund the rest of the government and work with us to rein in DHS.
- PM
I voted NO on taking up the funding package before the Senate. Funding for DHS must be split off so we can keep working on common-sense reforms that all Americans support. Talks are happening to do that—and that's good. But we need a real deal locked in first.
- MW
I just voted NO on the spending package because it still includes DHS funding. NO blank check for ICE to continue lawless killings. Let’s get real changes made.

The courage of ordinary Minnesotans also stands in stark contrast to America’s pusillanimous corporate “leadership.” Thank you, @smith.senate.gov.

On the one-year anniversary of the DCA crash, we remember the 67 lives lost, including six with ties to the Skating Club of Boston, and reaffirm our responsibility and commitment to learn from the tragedy and strengthen aviation safety.

Ordinary Minnesotans aren’t allowing themselves and their neighbors to be denied their basic human and constitutional rights, and they’re beginning to get results. But talk is cheap – we must keep pushing until ICE is out of Minnesota.

More grift. A nursing home super PAC donated millions to Trump’s campaign. And, lo and behold, he made it easier for them to cut staffing to pad their profits. Literally wheeling and dealing on the backs of the elderly and the disabled. This man’s grift knows no low.

Something we know about Donald Trump: he rarely backtracks unless there's something in it for him to gain personally.

Even as the cost of health care, groceries, and rent are skyrocketing for working families, Trump and Republicans are giving billionaires massive tax cuts. We need to take back the House and the Senate to elect people who will focus on working families and lowering costs.

J.D. Vance should focus on repairing the chaos his President has created, not on a Senator who has earned the respect of the Senate for her courage and effectiveness. (3/3)

Senator Duckworth has never backed away from a fight, even with a Vice President. She has fought for and won a seat in the Senate where she fights for veterans, those with disabilities, and the people of our state. (2/3)

I have learned over many years in office that politics ain’t beanbag. But JD Vance’s attack and insult of my colleague, Tammy Duckworth, is low and beneath the dignity of a Vice President. (1/3)

Even if agents are “drawn down” & arrests “targeted," major reforms are urgent—like requiring judicial warrants, body cameras, identification of agents, civil liability for wrongdoing, protection in sensitive locations, banning masks & mass sweeps. Cosmetics & optics won’t work.

Not enough. Homan’s baby steps to calm Minneapolis are no substitute for legislative action to restrain & reform an out of control agency inflicting violence & violations of rights. And astonishingly, no mention of immediate investigation of deaths with state & local law enforcement.

Our immigration system is profiting off of human misery. Facilities like Delaney Hall have no place in NJ or in our country. We must stand up to shape what kind of America our kids will grow up in.

I took to the Senate floor to honor Renee Good and Alex Pretti, two good people who should both be alive today. Renee leaves behind three children. Her wife said “kindness radiated out of her…she literally sparkled.” Alex was a VA ICU nurse who cared for our veterans, often in their final hours.

Donald Trump has sowed fear and chaos in our cities, fueled by federal agents who have beaten, detained, and killed in the service of a mass deportation agenda that is tearing families and communities apart. Enough is enough. Not one more dime for ICE.
