Great to be at the University of Minnesota Duluth where incredible work is being done to improve treatment of Alzheimer’s and dementia. I introduced a bipartisan bill to provide additional training for primary care providers because they are a key part of early detection.

The sun is shining across Minnesota today for Easter morning. A day of faith, family, and reflection. Always remember my mom singing Easter hymns in the church choir and her bunny breads at dinner. And dad? He always liked a good Easter afternoon hike, even in the cold! 🙏 ☀️ 🪺

Happy Easter! From our family to yours. A favorite photo of John and Abigail with their tie-dyed eggs. Wishing you a day filled with joy and time with loved ones.

So Trump is filing an “emergency” appeal to build his BALLROOM! How about fixing these “emergencies” first: 1. A plan to end the war 2. Ending harm inflicted by his tariffs 3. Getting House Republicans to vote for TSA/FEMA funding plan supported by all 100 senators

Stopped by the Bemidji Fire Department to thank our firefighters and first responders for their dedication during last summer’s storm. From emergency response to the long cleanup, they’ve been there every step of the way.

At the Bemidji Fire Station, I presented Kev and Dave of KB101 with the Broadcasters Crystal Award for Community Service. KB101 is the only radio station in the country to win this award 7 times!! Well-deserved recognition for their work keeping people safe and informed during last summer’s storm.

Anyone who has had a family member with Alzheimer's knows how hard that journey can be. We need to invest in finding a cure and improving care for Alzheimer's patients. I met with Duluth faculty and students at UMD medical school where they're advancing that mission for people in every zip code.

From NASA and something nice to wake up to: We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.

Here in Duluth meeting with U of M doctors and researchers and looked out to see the Coast Guard ship Spar on its way to rescue this stranded-in-the-ice mammoth freighter. High drama on Lake Superior for anyone in Duluth right now! The cold and ice this week surprised everyone…

The President's budget request slashes funding for health care, our agriculture, and resources for families struggling with rising costs. Completely misplaced priorities.

OK Minnesota, the snow is just a momentary spring setback! ❄️ 🌹 In Bemidji with the Mayor, Fire Chief, United Way & DNR to get briefed on last summer’s storm recovery & tree removal. Bemidji Strong is the real deal & the people stand as tall as Paul Bunyan & Babe the Blue Ox!

👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 5 thumbs up to the Conservation Corps, who are out in force helping Bemidji clear and dispose of the estimated 9 million fallen trees after last year’s 100 MPH wind storm. They love the snow ❄️ in April. Less dry wood! 🪵

This Administration is spending billions on a war with no strategy instead of lowering people’s health care and child care costs.

It’s been one year since the Administration's so-called “Liberation Day” tariffs — and the result? Higher costs for families, fewer markets for our farmers, and more uncertainty for small businesses.

Started my morning in Little Falls meeting with Mayor Zylka about two important projects for Little Falls: the Little Flyers Child Care Center and constructing a new railway overpass. I worked to secure funding for both projects that will support families and improve safety.

At Bushmills Ethanol in Atwater to highlight the need to increase biofuels in our fuel supply. With the administration’s war with Iran driving up gas prices, I’ll keep pushing for year-round E15 to lower prices at the pump and support Minnesota farmers.

We start the day w/this Washington Post headline: Gas hits $4 a gallon for the first time in nearly four years This didn’t need to happen. Self-inflicted wound on our country and most of the world by this administration. Unilateral actions without an endgame have consequences.

I was at the Minnesota Poultry Testing Laboratory in Willmar with the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association talking about the importance of disease prevention. This lab plays a critical role in supporting Minnesota farmers and keeping our food supply safe.

I visited workers at the 3M manufacturing plant in Hutchinson, where products like scotch tape are shipped everywhere. Thanks to CEO Bill Brown & plant manager Susie Nelson for showing me around. Investing in manufacturing & our workforce supports good jobs & helps MN companies compete globally.

They want to take away people’s health care to pay for their war in Iran while gas prices are spiraling as a result? That is just upside down for what Americans need right now.
