Cassidy Announces $14.9 Million for Louisiana Airport Improvements from His Infrastructure Bill

WASHINGTON –
U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana airports will receive $14,860,012.00 in federal funding through his
Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
. The funding will support terminal upgrades, hangar construction, taxiway rehabilitation, and other improvements to enhance passenger safety, travel experience, and operational efficiency across the state.
“Louisiana’s airports welcome visitors, move goods, and support jobs,”
said Dr. Cassidy.
“These investments improve safety and efficiency today but also make sure our airports keep up with the demands of the future.”

This grant provides federal funding to reconstruct the existing north terminal by installing new automated passenger exit lanes to improve the movement of passengers and baggage.
