Cassidy, Trump Celebrate Louisiana Baseball at White House Ceremony

WASHINGTON –Today, President Donald Trump invited U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) to attend a ceremony at the White House honoring the 2025 LSU Baseball NCAA National Champions and the 2025 LSU-Shreveport NAIA National Champions. Cassidy is an LSU graduate — earning both his undergraduate and medical degrees there — and now serves as a professor at the university.
“Only in Louisiana do you get two national champions in the same sport in one year! It was great to mark the moment with President Trump and both teams at the White House,”said Dr. Cassidy.
Tomorrow, Cassidy will go back to the White House to have lunch with President Trump and Senate Republicans.
