U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.)releasedthe following statements this afternoon, demanding a new inspector general be created to investigate the billions in American tax dollars spent on aid to Ukraine.

Senator Hawley isrenewinghis push today for an independent watchdog to oversee and audit Ukraine aid after a Democrat-controlled Senatevoted downhis legislation to establish one back in 2023.
The Senator hasarguedthat Americans deserve an immediate accounting of every tax dollar spent on Ukraine aid, in light of the wasteful spending recently unveiled within the United States Agency for International Development.
