Senator Adam Hinojosa Appointed to Five Key Senate Committees, Named Vice Chair of
Administration
On January 17, 2025, Senator Adam Hinojosa of Texas Senate District 27 announced his
appointment to five critical Senate committees for the 89th Legislative Session. Lt. Governor
Dan Patrick selected Senator Hinojosa to serve as Vice Chair of the Administration Committee
and as a member of the Border Security, State Affairs, Water, Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and
Education Committees.
These committee assignments position Senator Hinojosa to play a pivotal role in addressing the
most pressing challenges facing his constituents and the state of Texas.
“I am excited to get to work for the people of Senate District 27,” said Senator Hinojosa. “I am
honored by the confidence Lt. Governor Patrick has placed in me with these key assignments.
These committees will provide opportunities to advance solutions on issues that matter deeply to
my district, from border security and education to water management and rural development.”
The Administration Committee, where Senator Hinojosa will serve as Vice Chair, oversees
legislative operations and administrative procedures within the Senate. His roles on the Border
Security and State Affairs Committees will allow him to address the complex challenges facing
Texas at the southern border and tackle statewide legislative priorities. Additionally, his work on
the Water, Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee will focus on critical infrastructure and
resource management for rural communities, while his position on the Education Committee
underscores his commitment to improving educational opportunities for all Texans.
With these appointments, Senator Hinojosa is ready to deliver on his commitment to serve
Senate District 27 with integrity, dedication, and effective leadership.
