Jim Banks (R-Ind.): “President Trump isn’t the one asking for this supplemental; our military is asking for the supplemental bill to restore our munitions, to support our military, to support our troops, and how dare the Democrats vote against, or fight against more money for our men and women in uniform. But that’s what’s happening on Capitol Hill.” “Indiana is the crossroads of America; we are also the crossroads of the defense base in our country where we make a lot of these munitions, and this funding will go a long way for Indiana and other states to do our part and step up and keep our military supplied with the weapons and equipment they need to win.” “First and foremost, it means our troops are less safe. This is a war. We had troops tragically lost over the weekend in this war. The military, all of the branches, the leadership, they are the ones who are asking for this funding; they need it.
