Moolenaar on the Release of Stephen Hubbard from Russian Prison

October 21, 2026 Press Release Congressman John Moolenaar released the following statement on the release of Steven Hubbard, a native of Big Rapids, Michigan, who was held captive in a Russian prison for four years: "Stephen Hubbard was unjustly held captive by Russia for four years after he was captured and wrongly convicted of being a mercenary. Stephen grew up in Michigan, served our country in the Air Force, and faced unimaginable hardship as a hostage of Putin's regime.
