Look, we should be using taxpayer dollars to help families afford childcare, healthcare, housing, and gas— not give ICE a blank check, spend a billion dollars on Trump's ballroom, or give $1.8 billion to criminals.

Bill Pulte is a proven crook who will target anyone Trump considers an enemy. He isn't qualified for his current job, and he would pose an actual threat to our national security as Acting Director of National Intelligence. Every Senator should demand he be fired immediately.
- MH
Zero. None. Zilch. Bill Pulte has NO intelligence experience, yet Trump just tapped him to become acting director of national intelligence. When loyalty matters more than competence or experience, our country — and the American people — are less safe. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

I joined International Justice Mission to call for the Senate to immediately hold a vote on my STOP CSAM Act—which advanced unanimously out of the Judiciary Committee. Children need protections from predators on the internet, & this bill is an essential first step. There is no more time for delay.

Bill Pulte has already proven himself willing to act as a Trump puppet, which is why Trump wants to put him in charge of our nation’s intelligence. The Intelligence Community exists to protect the American people—not to serve as another instrument of presidential retribution.

NEW: I’m glad to cosponsor the Power for the People Act, which would lower your power bill by ensuring data centers pay for their own electricity. This is just a first step – we need to address several other related concerns – but I'm ready to keep up the fight to lower costs.
- TD
Do they care about our national security at all? Trump is plunging us further into war, cozying up to dictators and alienating our partners. The last thing we need is an inexperienced, partisan yes-man leading our intelligence community. This doesn’t make America safer.

We passed a law giving cash rebates to install electric and more-efficient appliances. As electricity and fuel prices go up thanks to Trump's policies, this should be a win-win. Trump is trying to illegally kill this program, breaking the law and leaving you with the bill.

So we’re supposed to believe the guy who wants his face on a $250 bill suddenly is just going to drop his demand for a slush fund?
- RB
No trusting Trump’s supposed retreat from his $1.8 billion thug fund plan, even if he makes it explicit. I’ll fight for legislation to prohibit it completely, & any other reward for Trump allies, rioters & lawbreakers. 1/

The DNI is supposed to ensure the analytic independence of the intelligence community and speak truth to power when necessary. There is zero evidence Mr. Pulte can fulfill either of these tasks.

As Trump’s housing czar, Bill Pulte misused his authority, ignored the law, and did Trump’s political dirty work as home prices skyrocketed and affordability worsened. Now, Trump is promoting Pulte – who has NO INTELLIGENCE EXPERIENCE – to Acting Director of National Intelligence. #TrumpWeak

Even if crooked Trumpsters try to weasel their way back out of their rotten ‘cop-beaters slush fund’ deal, they still have to deal with the equally rotten Trump family business-and-personal tax/crimes amnesty. This ain’t over until ALL of it goes away. But wait, there’s more!

Child care shouldn't be a privilege just reserved for the rich—it’s public infrastructure.

The only way to ensure Trump’s $2B MAGA slush fund never sees the light of day is to abolish it by law. We will not trust the word of the corrupt president who stands to benefit the most from it.

Trump now finds his Iran war “very boring.” Families are paying for this illegal and reckless war at the gas pump, at the grocery store, and with their taxes. Trump got us into this disaster, and he has to get us out, now.

Secretary Rubio is testifying right now, and he has a lot to answer for—especially on Trump's war in Iran Democrats are demanding answers on behalf of our troops in harm's way, their families, and the Americans across the country who are paying the cost We must bring an end to this war immediately

This is your reminder that Trump’s new national school voucher program will siphon money out of public schools and costs taxpayers tens of billions of dollars. We’ve already seen this play out in Arizona. I have a bill to stop it.

Republicans need to come to their senses and find a new judicial nominee for this court. Putting Katie Lane on the bench is like hiring an MLB umpire who’s never even worked a Little League game. Unqualified.

The Trump administration is continuing its cruel campaign of contempt against communities of color—all at the expense of American innovation, American jobs, and America's global standing. We must stop this administration's hateful politicization of our research and innovation.

Trump clearly does not take national security seriously. At a time when Trump has taken our nation into an ill-conceived war, threats from new technology proliferate, and China continues to remain laser focused on undermining us, having someone with zero national security experience... 1/2

Jaw droppingly unqualified—Bill Pulte is a danger to national security as DNI. His knee bending sycophancy to Trump only adds insult to injury, mocking & degrading our intelligence community.

Hiring a Trump hatchet man with no intelligence experience – one who abused his office to carry out political attacks – to lead our nation’s intelligence agencies is just more proof that Trump doesn’t care about Americans’ safety.

Part of why people are spending more is because Trump is making everything more expensive. In the face of Trump's tariffs, his war & rising gas prices, and the rampant government corruption, I think it's safe to say most people are NOT so optimistic.

We can’t claim to deliver equal justice under the law while the death penalty is applied so unevenly and unjustly based on race, income, and access to adequate counsel. That's why I’m joining @durbin.senate.gov's bill to abolish the federal death penalty once and for all.

A billion dollar ballroom. A UFC arena. Trump is turning the White House into his personal playground while he does nothing to address rising health care costs, soaring energy bills, or deliver on any of the promises he made to get himself elected.

New Acting ICE Director David Venturella spent decades in the revolving door between ICE and the private prison industry. Americans shouldn’t have to wonder whether ICE’s priorities are driven by the financial interests of detention contractors. I’m pressing for answers.

Obeying the court’s order to pause the insurrectionist slush fund is the law, and it’s not enough. Congress needs to permanently block it and rescind the self-pardon Trump gave himself, his family, and his business associates for tax crimes.

Since Jan 2025, Trump & Republicans have helped big corporations dodge $40+ BILLION in income taxes. That money could've extended ACA tax credits this year. Instead, it'll be funneled into bonuses & stock buybacks that only make the rich even richer.

Pete Hegseth—who never ranked higher than Major—is once again ignoring Generals' recommendations and denying merit-based promotions. For all his bluster about bringing meritocracy back to our military, this unqualified SecDef keeps doing the opposite. An insult to our troops.
