Thune Joins Sean Hannity on Fox News

Click here to watch the interview. WASHINGTON — U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) joined Sean Hannity on Fox News. On radical far-left policies: “This is a Democrat Party that has really lost its identity. They have moved so far left … You’ve got … people who are openly out there espousing and endorsing socialism, which is why you have the Democrat Socialists of America now.” On the SAVE America Act: “[The SAVE America Act] was the pending business in the Senate for over two weeks, late February, early March. We had five votes on it. We voted on photo ID. We voted on photo ID and citizenship to register. We voted on the entire SAVE Act … two different times. And we also voted on no boys in girls’ sports. So we’ve had five votes, portions of or all of the SAVE America Act. “The problem we have is we have no Democrats. The Democrats block voted against it, in spite of the fact that there are at least a dozen Democrats – and I have the quotes – who have come out publicly and said they’re for photo ID, but when they actually got a chance to put up or shut up on the floor of the Senate, they all voted no.” On Senate Republicans’ agenda: “We’re going to do Russia sanctions, and that’s a tribute to Lindsey Graham, who we all are going to … commemorate … I think we’ll get that done. I think we’ve got to fund the government, and I think we’re on a path to do that.” […] “There’s a package of nominations, it’s about 74 noms that the president’s put forward that we’ve now, we’re moving in a block … We will probably have a vote on the Clarity Act, which is the digital assets bill, legislation that’s in front of the Senate. We’ll see if the Democrats give us the votes to get on that. There’s also a possibility on NIL legislation. I had a couple of conversations over the weekend with people like Ted Cruz, Eric Schmitt [who] have been working on that issue, and that’s the college sports issue. A lot of people are interested in that.”
